Finance professionals prepare and interpret financial plans and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial rules and regulations, including internal financial controls, to mitigate risk for the company. Finance professionals may also shape and execute client deals to maximize the use of Accenture's capital and resources, manage cash and/or liaise with the investor community.

The Client Financial Management Specialist will be responsible for the following:

+ Complete standard MTD/QTD financial and operational processes* Ensure completion of project level forecast activities (input collection, processing and creation of project lead review materials), and provide and/or supervise ODE and EAC variance analysis* Contribute to account level forecasts that combine sold work and pipeline data, including Enterprise Forecasts, annual account planning, and direct cost trend analysis* Prepare or review accruals for vendor goods or services received when invoices have not yet posted in Costpoint, and approve low value accruals* Analyze actual monthly project results to ensure accurate cost postings and revenue recognition*Perform and/or supervise processes to record adjusting entries*Review Open Billing Detail and working capital balances, complete or review inventory reconciliations, forecast DSO, and monitor Peak Capital Balance * Complete Portfolio Finance Review (PFR) deliverables (e.g. complete account forecast files, update PFR templates, provide analysis and commentary for variances)* For CFM Operations Team: lead processes to support completion of standard financial processes through centralized reporting, schedule management, internal controls guidance, and knowledge sharing

+ Ensure the quality and integrity of project financial records* Obtain pricing and FTA documents from the Pricing/CDTS team and operationalize the initial forecasts in TM1Collaborate with Pricing/CDTS and Controllership to document the project accounting treatment memoManage the project charge number structure* Develop partnerships with PMO and various corporate functions (Controllership, FP&A, SM&P, CM, etc.) typically regarding activities to monitor funding of subcontractor purchase orders, collect pricing files, review accuracy of prime contract modifications, track invoicing, and provide commentary on account variances* Validate and analyze indirect rate change impacts on project financials* Execute and supervise ad hoc management requests as they relate to the forecasting process* Execute internal controls, U.S. GAAP, contract, and Federal compliance requirements to ensure full compliance and appropriate revenue recognition* Apply knowledge of key AFS policies, procedures and reference documents to project financials* Assist with balance sheet accountability, including forecast analysis of lease commitments, hardware/software costs, and asset depreciation

+ Contribute to the CFM organization* Contribute to CFM meetings and training sessions* Identify and participate in opportunities to continuously improve training, methodologies, tools and skills* Supervise CFM analysts, and contribute to team knowledge sharing


Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or other comparable business major

+ 2 years of work experience in the area of Accounting and/or Finance

+ 1 year of Accounting and/or Finance experience supporting Federal clients

+ 6 months of experience performing budgeting and forecasting functions

+ 6 months of supervisory experience or significant leadership experience demonstrating readiness to supervise

+ US Citizenship

Preferred Skills:

+ Experience with Deltek Costpoint

+ Must be able to work at all DC area locations: Rosslyn, Arlington, Washington DC

+ Good knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley

+ Strong Excel skills

+ Experience with Government Accounting

+ Experience with Microsoft Access

+ Financial accounting experience including skills in reconciliation, invoice preparation, processing financial transactions, and preparing financial budgets

+ Demonstrated supervisory skills and the ability to leverage support from other parts of the organization

+ Proven ability to work independently and as a team member

+ Ability to be flexible and work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

+ Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

+ Excellent customer service skills

+ Strong organizational, multi-tasking and analytical skills

Professional Skill Requirements:

+ Demonstrated leadership and collaboration in a professional setting

+ Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley

+ Strong Excel skills, including an understanding of Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/SUBTOTAL functions

+ Experience supervising finance professionals

+ Excellent communication skills

+ Experience with Deltek Costpoint, TM1, CER and Qlikview

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
