The North America Marketing + Communications team shapes and activates marketing and communications strategies across the marketing lifecycle that fuel growth for Accentures $20B+ North American market (United States and Canada). Its cross-functional team drives category brand positioning in the North American market, curates end-to-end client experiences to drive the local growth agenda, empowers and positions Accentures leaders, and engages and inspires the companys North American people, recruits and alumni. It positions Accenture in the heart of local innovation, business and technology communities and champions programs for equality, inclusion and diversity within Accenture North America and the communities it serves.

Job Description

YOUR ROLE: Media Relations Senior Manager North AmericaAccenture is looking for a dynamic public relations pro to join a team leading the strategy, execution and coordination of a comprehensive media relations program for Accentures North America business. The role is responsible for generating top tier media coverage in influential national and local press in support of Accentures North America business objectives.Additionally, this role is responsible leading and implementing an executive positioning program for selected senior leaders in North America, focused on our West Market Unit, leveraging media relations, social media, speaking engagement and awards.This individual will work closely with the North America Marketing + Communications leaders and North America business leaders. The individual will also collaborate with national, industry, business and global media relations colleagues, as well as members of Accentures paid media team. This role reports into the head of North America media relations and is part of Accentures Corporate Communications function.____________While there will never be a typical day at Accenture, heres a look at some of your responsibilities.

+ Create earned media strategy, leveraging national and local media in the US, in support of the companys business priorities;

+ Lead local media relations for our West Market Unit

+ Establish executive positioning platforms for selected leaders;

+ Coach and prepare spokespeople;

+ Drive the content pipeline for media relations, for market- or region-relevant clients stories, research and thought leadership, corporate citizenship activities, inclusion & diversity initiatives, people on the move stories and civic- and community-oriented stories;

+ Monitor the competitive landscape for media mentions and share of voice, applying this knowledge to improve Accentures overall position in the region;

+ Conduct and analyze market/competitor/influencer research as input to positioning and external marketing and communications plans;

+ Manage and develop professional working relationships with key journalists;

+ Ensure that regional media relations initiatives are consistent with strategic business objectives for North America

Work Requirements:Must be based in Accenture office.

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree or other university degree.

+ Minimum of 12 years experience in PR/corporate communications with a focus on technology, thought leadership and content PR, in-house or agency.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience at building strong working relationship and providing strategic counsel to senior leadership.

+ Demonstrated knowledge and ability for media measurement tools, tactics and capabilities.

+ Natural storyteller with ability to connect Accenture capabilities to industry news.

+ Strong relationships with business, industry and trade press.

+ Able to leverage social media to augment and amplify media relations program. Broad based business acumen and ability to quickly grasp Accentures business strategy.

+ Global perspective and understanding of business marketplace; quick thinking with an inquisitive nature and desire to learn about economic and business drives, the technology ecosystem and all aspects of Accentures business.

+ Able to partner with and influence executives at all levels of the organization through relationship building and executive-level presence.

+ Demonstrated ability to provide strategic support and counsel; issues management experience a plus.

As required by Colorado law under the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $110,376 - $235,200 and information on benefits offered is here.
