JOB DESCRIPTION

Mergers & Acquisitions Strategy Manager

Youll focus on developing inorganic growth strategies through mergers and acquisitions, partnering and alliances, enabling clients to enter new markets and channels as well as consolidate and leverage scale in existing markets. Our M&A Strategy managers:

Help clients ensure that their M&A strategy aligns with their broader corporate strategy and help to execute that strategy
Research and understand the global trends that impact and disrupt the clients business, industry, and functions
Lead teams across the full lifecycletarget screening, due diligence, pre-deal planning, post-deal integration/separationof the most prestigious M&A deals while accelerating transformation through next generation analytics and digital tools
Define synergy opportunities and costs to achieve by understanding, articulating, and quantifying the client value including levers that drive value and expected outcomes
Identify and evaluate potential sources of risk in a transaction and develop remediation strategies to mitigate and manage those risks
Drive alignment and balance across transaction, company strategy, and regulatory requirements
Effectively leverage all Accenture practices (Strategy, Consulting, Digital, Security, etc.) to bring the best value and solution to our clients
Help clients drive a disciplined transaction through coordinated initiative planning, integrated communications, and an orchestrated process to identify and resolve issues, risks, and dependencies
Develop written and oral communications to obtain the highest impact and understand how to shape messages in a C-Suite relevant way (even when not personally delivering messaging)
Deliver content with clarity, confidence and enthusiasm - effectively presenting insights and advocating a point of view
Establish trust with clients through reliable delivery of commitments within timelines and standards of excellence.
Understand multiple problem-solving tools and approaches and when to use each for best outcomes
Demonstrate commitment to developing our people and leading by example
Develop an opportunistic and entrepreneurial spirit, raising key opportunities to leadership and supporting pursuits
Manage and guide teams of 10+ clients and consultants with optimism through ambiguity, challenges, and changes in direction
Ability to meet travel requirements; up to 80% 100%, primarily domestic


Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years of experience supporting and/or leading merger integration or divestitures within a consulting firm or equivalent in an internal consulting role in a major corporation
Bachelors Degree

Preferred Qualifications
MBA or equivalent graduate degree
Experience leading cross-functional teams, framing, designing and executing solutions for challenging business situations

Excellent communication (written and oral) skills capable of discussing both simple and highly complex ideas with various groups, ranging from a board room to business unit leads
Strong interpersonal skills shown by an ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization and build strong relationships
Sophisticated executive demeanor and comfortable functioning at the highest levels of client organizations
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
