Application Development Manager (Accenture LLP; Cleveland, OH): Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of Application Development Manager in Cleveland, OH to analyze, review, and design custom applications built on the Duck Creek Policy Platform including technical review and analysis of source code. S/he will perform the following duties: design and develop business/functional logic on the Duck Creek Platform; design and maintain integration framework(s) for Duck Creek Platform; design and maintain assets developed using Duck Creek Policy Platform as required to support business requirements, feature requests, or defect fixes; identify performance bottlenecks and resolve high severity issues to keep the custom application built on Duck Creek Platform always available and stable; provide solution for any production issues, outages, performance issues for the custom application built on Duck Creek Platform; work with client to gather requirements and develop proof of concepts for new solutions and suggest business process improvisation to reduce complexity in custom application(s); act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments; participate in functional/technical designs, code/design reviews for custom application(s) built on the Duck Creek Platform, and in conjunction with offshore counterpart, coordinating work sent to the offshore team in India; work directly with Client IT leads and business leads, reporting status and progress to Senior leadership; coach the client team members about the features of the Duck Creek Product.




MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


This position requires at least a bachelors degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering (any), or in a closely related field. The position also requires 4 years of experience as an Application Development Team Lead, Software Engineer, or in a related IT position, including the following experience: 4 years of experience in utilizing.NET, Duck Creek Policy administration suite including Author, Express Server, Anywhere API, Microsoft SQL Server, and Visual Source Safe or Team Foundation Server for writing and configuring code in the Duck Creek development environment; 4 years of experience in designing software solutions for Duck Creek Policy administration systems in Property and Casualty domain to translate business requirements into Duck Creek system design and developing programming solutions; 4 years of experience in SDLC methodologies, including Waterfall methodology to operate in large team settings and ensure that all development and quality processes are followed; 4 years of experience in facilitating end to end delivery of the project through coordination between onshore and offshore teams; and 4 years of experience in Property and Casualty Insurance domain to understand the clients business needs and evaluate optimal solution recommendations.
