Application Development Specialist (Accenture LLP; Minneapolis, MN): Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of Application Development Specialist in Minneapolis, MN, and the job duties are as follows:





+ Develop, design, and maintain software products or systems to support client strategies.


+ Analyze, design, build, and test new components or enhancements to existing modules, under direct supervision.


+ Work with team members to gather and interpret user/system requirements into design specifications, as directed.


+ Maintain applications according to SLAs.


+ Work across the Service Delivery Lifecycle on engineering solutions for new system roll outs, major/minor enhancements, and/or ongoing maintenance of existing applications, under direct supervision.


+ Understand strategic direction set by management as it relates to team goals.


+ Seek guidance when determining methods and procedures on new assignments and develop skills needed to execute responsibilities.





BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


Must have a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Applications, Electronic Engineering, Engineering, or related field, plus 4 years of experience in the IT consulting industry. Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:



+ Java or .NET development;


+ Web application development using RESTful web services and SOAP web services;


+ Utilizing RDBMS, including SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL;


+ Working with offshore teams and managing deliveries in distributed environment;


+ Utilizing change control and development methodologies; and


+ Implementing application architecture and designing, coding, and testing software applications.



Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:



+ Microservice architecture and tools, including Docker, Spring Cloud, Cloud Foundry, and Kubernetes; and


+ Working with application CI/CD build using Gradle, Jenkins, and Bitbucket.





Must have willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time to meet client needs.
