The Management Consulting Manager designs and implements business changes that drive industry-specific, function and digital operating model transformation, focusing on task relating to people and process.

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:
Identifies, assesses and solves complex business problems for area of responsibility, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Closely follows the strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near term goals.Interacts with senior management at a client and/or within Accenture on matters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach.Has some latitude in decision-making. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.Decisions have a major day to day impact on area of responsibility. Manages large - medium sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture.

Job Description
The Business Opportunity Development Manager is responsible for:
Achieving growth through leveraging and building business relationships with new and current Accenture clients and creating new opportunities for Accenture within North Carolina State Government and/or Higher Education Institutions.
They will be responsible for creating new sales opportunities and coordinating the sales process with the State of NC Accenture account team.
They will also be expected to participate in some aspects of delivery when work is sold.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop strong relationships with key client buyers decision makers at senior levels, e.g., Division Head, C-suite level, University Presidents, Deputy Secretaries, CFOs and CIOs.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of clients business needs and priorities to effectively diagnose problems and develop solutions that lead to new sales opportunities.
Grow business by driving a sales strategy that includes complex services and solutions.
Driving the sales strategy includes the full sales cycle from opportunity identification to close.
Participate in delivery of sold solutions, including but not limited to maintaining relationships throughout the process.
Ability to meet travel requirements, when applicable


Basic Qualifications
A minimum 7 years experience working with Government and/or Higher Education Institutions
Bachelors Degree required
Preferred Skills
Deep skills working on high priority and strategic initiatives
Degree in Business, MIS, Public Policy Health preferred
Consulting experience a plus
3 years of experience working with State of North Carolina Government Institutions and/or Higher Education Institutions
Professional Skill Requirements
Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
Desire to work in an information systems environment
Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Excellent leadership and management skills
