The work:

Accenture Research is a
global, award-winning team that uncovers trends and shapes data-driven insights
through thought leadership and research for Accenture and its clients.
Accenture Research combines deep understanding of client industries with
leading-edge research techniques to discover the most pressing issues facing
organizations today. Our team of 300+ researchers develops thought-provoking
research analysis -- supported by proprietary data and partnerships with
leading organizations - that guides our innovations and allows us to transform
theories and fresh ideas into real-world solutions for our clients.

As a Consumer Industries, Research Summer Analyst,
you will support senior researchers on client-facing research projects globally
across our consumer industries, especially Consumer Goods, Retail, and Travel.
The role sits within our consumer industries team of ~30 researchers worldwide,
and is based in Chicago, IL. Projects
may include economic, industry or competitor analysis, provocative thought
leadership presenting new ideas on strategy, technology and innovation,
research for client workshops, and reports for high visibility events. The role
will require strong analytical and issue-based problem-solving skills,
quantitative skills, business acumen, a client service mindset and a passion for
the industries and the clients that we serve. Flexibility, curiosity, personal
drive and an eagerness to learn and apply new skills and knowledge are of
paramount importance.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Summer Analyst your
daily responsibilities will vary by project, but in working with senior
researchers you may find yourself:

+ Understanding key issues that
the client and their industry are facing, and the core research questions
that need to be addressed

+ Draw on both traditional and
innovative data sources and research methodologies to explore the key
questions in a logical, structured manner

+ Carry out research projects for
end clients, in close collaboration with consulting teams (our internal

+ Identifying the implications of
the research and support the creation of a compelling, business-focused
story about the data that is relevant to the end client. This is about
insight, not just information

+ Understand key consumer, market
and technology trends impacting consumer industries, and continually build
expertise in core areas of interest by staying abreast of key industry

+ Support the on-going
development of Accenture Researchs profile, visibility and brand across
our consulting practice

+ Be an Innovation Agent by
actively embracing innovation and transferring learnings to the immediate
and wider research team

+ Presenting to research
colleagues and key internal customers.

Here's what you need

+ Undergraduate or graduate student
in a relevant subject area with an expected graduation date between
December 2020 and August 2021.

+ Minimum overall GPA of 3

+ Relevant subject areas include
business, economics, social sciences, quantitative analysis (marketing and
economics are preferred)

+ Proficiency in basic techniques
of data analysis

+ Proficiency in MS Office suite
(Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook)

+ Interest in global business issues and trends

Bonus points if you have
/ can demonstrate

+ Prior Research internship

+ Strong knowledge of consumer
industry trends

+ Fascination with how new
technologies can solve problems and create opportunities

+ Exceptional analytical,
critical thinking, problem solving and research skills

+ Familiarity with basic
statistical techniques such as multivariate regression and correlation

+ Write clearly about complex
topics; can synthesize information from multiple sources into a
coherent summary

+ Create well-structured, clearly
written presentations with graphs and charts

+ Capable of quickly establishing
credibility with senior-level leaders; polished, confident and able to
clearly articulate a point of view

+ Able to present research
insights and findings to customers

+ Can work on more than one
project at a time

+ Like to work both independently
and as part of a team

+ Have a phenomenal attention to

+ Have led a team at
school, at work or in the military
