Federal - Automation Development Analyst

The Automation Development Analyst is responsible for coding the automation process components as per the low-level technical design document created by the Technical Leads/Senior Developers. The Automation Development Analyst will also validate the automation by performing unit testing and ensuring configuration control is always maintained. The Automation Development Analyst will mentor Junior Developers and perform Quality Engineering checks on code components developed by them.

Responsibilities include, but may not be restricted to:

+ Work closely with Technical Lead for understanding the functional and technical design

+ Develop and configure automation processes as per the technical design document (TDD) to meet the defined requirements. Work on the coding the more complicated automations or reusable components.

+ Develop new processes/tasks/objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand.

+ Comply with and enforce design and coding standards, policies and procedures.

+ Ensure documentation is well-maintained.

+ Ensure quality of coded components by performing thorough unit testing.

+ Works collaboratively with test teams during the Product test and UAT phases to fix assigned defects.

+ Report status, issues and risks to tech leads on a regular basis

+ Improve skills in automation products by completing automation certification.

Basic Qualifications

+ 4-year Technical Bachelors Degree (i.e. Computer Science) OR 4 years of relevant experience

+ 2+ years of technical training in development/programming experience with Visual Basic

+ US Citizen required (dual citizenship not eligible for consideration)

Preferred Qualifications

+ Must have a strong understanding of workflow-based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualize it as an automated solution

+ Working experience in coding on at least 2 projects.

+ Should be trained on RPA tools (Blue Prism/Automation Anywhere).

+ Prior experience in UI automation, Robotics process automation is an added advantage.

+ Certification in Robotics

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
