The Automation Engineer will be an established software developer who specializes in DevOps and the CI/CD pipeline. Our customer is senior management at a major federal agency and the program involves high profile enterprise software products. Technologies include Azure Cloud and Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, SQL Server. Role will be to manage the CI/CD pipeline through multiple environments and many different deployments following a DevOps model. The automation engineer should have experience implementing or supporting a CI/CD pipeline and associated tools and technologies. Candidate should have experience with as many of the following tools as possible (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, FishEye, Bamboo, SonarQube, JMeter, Selenium, Ansible, RedHat Satellite, ELK, Azure DevOps)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

+ Analyze, design, implement and optimize DevOps solutions to support and manage cloud architecture and infrastructure

+ Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines)

+ Improve the existing architecture utilizing various automation tool and strategies, including monitoring upgrades and industry standard solutions

+ Deliver fast reliable cloud services, analytics to improve performance, optimizing resource usage, and reducing the companys cloud costs

+ Collaborate with team members to improve the companys engineering tools, systems and procedures, and data security

+ Optimize the companys computing architecture both on premise and in the cloud

+ Deliver infrastructure services to clients and/or internal stakeholders, to improve quality, service, lower costs and prevent unforeseen operational issues

+ Ensure infrastructure architectures represent current and future business requirements

+ Articulate key aspects of infrastructure architecture and design through models, documentation, and code

+ Ensure development teams have a solid understanding of infrastructure designs and execute accordingly

Basic Skills & Qualifications:

+ Must be US Citizen

+ 1 year of CI/CD experience

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

+ Bachelors degree highly desired, but not required

+ Knowledge of Agile Software Development and Scaled Agile Framework

+ Experience working for major federal agency

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
