Essential functions of a Business Operations Specialist are to:



+ Analyze business processes, identify inefficiencies and to design and improve business processes while identifying and defining detailed product requirements and use cases to ensure efficiency and quality throughout the operation, as well as compliance to the customer's standards.


+ The Specialist is expected to actively participate in problem solving, continuous improvement, and demonstrate strong dedication to quality and communication.


+ The Specialist will serve as a liaison to the business community and participate in user and task analysis to maintain the customer 's perspective while maintaining client relationships at peer level.


+ The Specialist should demonstrate strong communication skills in client engagement as well as among the development and test teams internally to the project.


+ The Specialist will assist team members in cost reduction, knowledge capital and work product/service improvement activities, as well as assisting in identifying issues and providing status of scope of work while understanding role and responsibilities of self and team and how they contribute to business objectives.


+ Additionally, the Specialist should assist team members in completing their work or acquiring skills while contributing to maintaining a collaborative work environment.


+ Typically accountable for results of team efforts by maintaining workflows and quality standards and meeting deadlines.






Basic Skills & Qualifications:



+ 1 year of experience working with Communication Plans


+ 1 year of traceability Matrix (RTM) or related experience




Preferred Skills & Qualifications:



+ Ability to work independently in a fast paced, constantly changing environment


+ Familiarity with system development and application life-cycle activities


+ Strong oral and written communication skills


+ Effectively develop, refine and document as-is and to-be processes


+ Strong problem solving skills to assess process gaps and recommend best practice solutions



An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
