The Cloud SME:



+ Responsible for new cloud architecture design, development, and integration of new architectural features into existing cloud infrastructures while maintaining the integrity and security of enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks.


+ Leads multi-disciplined teams in the design and implementation of the cyber security system architecture.


+ Able to apply cyber security standards, directives, guidance and policies to a cloud architectural framework.


+ Compiles industry best practices and lessons learned into future iterations and new designs for the cloud hosting environment.


+ Provides broad based experience in the systems engineering lifecycle and specific cyber security initiatives relating to cloud architectural design and


+ Resolve cloud architecture implementation issues during integration and test.


+ May interface with external entities including law enforcement organizations, intelligence community organizations and other government agencies.


+ Working understanding of core AWS services, uses, and AWS architecture best practices.


+ Has proficiency in developing, deploying, and debugging cloud-based applications using AWS.


+ Understands cloud-native application lifecycle management on AWS and has proficiency in developing, deploying and debugging cloud-based applications on AWS using at least one high-level programming language (e.g., C/C++, Java, Python, Ruby, Go) through use of a CI/CD pipeline and tool chain.


+ Ability to use the AWS service APIs, AWS CLI, and SDKs to write applications.


+ Clear understanding of key AWS service features, interaction methods and shared responsibility model.


+ Ability to develop software using AWS security best practices and IAM roles.C20





Basic Skills & Qualifications:



+ Bachelors degree in Computer Science, cyber or related discipline required & 1 of the following certifications required: CCSP, AWS CCP or other AWS certs


+ 5+ experience in IT and in cloud computing


+ 5 year of experience in streaming and/or batch analytics (e.g. Kafka, Spark, Flink, Storm, MapReduce, Hadoop)


Preferred Skills & Qualifications:



+ Masters degree in Computer Science, cyber or related discipline required


+ Proficiency writing code for serverless applications and use of containers in the development process.


+ Experience with cloud technologies, including but not limited to: AWS, Azure, Google cloud, Oracle cloud, Cloud computing, etc


+ Experience in distributed databases, NoSQL databases, full text-search engines (e.g. Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Solr) Experience in designing enterprise APIs


An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
