As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Cyber Security, you will:




+ Serve as a Cyber Security/Computer and Network Defense Subject Matter Expert (SME)


+ Concentrate on overall technical and operational effectiveness of capabilities


+ Provide recommendation on continuous improvement of the processes and architecture supporting the overall Cyber Defense operational activities including, but not limited to, analysis, incident handling and reporting products, and the reporting lifecycle


+ Ensure effective operation of IT systems and network defenses


+ Provide effective incident response capabilities, usable and effective reports that address overall situational awareness


+ Maximize the use of tools to correlate information and synthesize data into usable and actionable events


+ Identify and provide an agile approach to the automation of any manual or iefficient processes that exist across the cyber defense program


+ Recommend and implement technical solutions designed to return time to mission






Basic Qualifications:



+ Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification


+ 8 years of IT experience in technical roles.


+ 6 years of experience providing cybersecurity risk analysis and information assurance (IA) support to DoD, National Security, and federal information systems.


+ Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, or related field




Preferred Qualifications:




+ Experience with multitude of security products


+ Proven experience and success in exploiting vulnerabilities using commercial and open source tools


+ Complex problem solving abilities with experience in performing root cause analysis


+ Other ISSM and Cyber-related certifications such as Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security+


+ Advanced degree in a technical field






An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
