The candidate will enjoy working in fast paced environment with large-scale mission critical data, latest data management and storage tools, and the ability to turn ideas into actionable products for the US Department of Transportation. Individuals in this role are expected to have passion for solving complex problems, work independently and collaboratively with team members experienced with Agile methodology. This project will include integrating many different data sources with limited documentation and guidance. The candidate will need to proficient in learning new process quickly and applying that logic to reverse engineer complex data schemas.





Basic Skills & Qualifications:




+ 5+ years of experience with backend development (e.g. SQL, schema design)


+ 3+ years of experience with integration tool sets (e.g. SSIS, MuleSoft, etc.)


+ 3+ years of experience in data warehousing and mining


+ 2+ years of experience with big data tools (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, Hive, HBase, oozie, Flume, MongoDB, Cassandra, Pig)


+ 2+ years of experience with data modeling tools (e.g. Erwin, ER/Studio, etc.)


+ Familiarity with Machine Learning


+ Familiarity with Azure Government


+ US Citizenship required


+ Bachelors Degree or 4 years additional experience


Preferred Skills & Qualifications:



+ Experience with Python and JavaScript


+ Experience with Agile development


+ Most experience is focused within a SQL Server backend implementation


+ Experience building relational data models after mapping complex legacy systems into a new more efficient model



An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
