Job Description:

We are looking for a qualified full-stack developer to join our technical team for an upcoming R&D opportunity using blockchain technology. Will be responsible for building the required front-end and back-end code in support of a prototype build that will be integrated with a blockchain network. The candidate must also have strong knowledge implementing infrastructure as a code using Docker, as well as familiarity with some of general blockchain concepts such as peer-to-peer architecture, consensus protocols, nodes, and smart contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Design, develop, define, and test all the code required for a working prototype

+ Design, develop and test required integration capabilities to connect the web application interface with a blockchain network

+ Develop configuration files for the blockchain network

+ Develop configuration files to wrap all code developed as containerized services

+ Maintain consistent practices, procedures, and processes for software development.

+ Create detailed documentation as to how the blockchain technology operates.

+ Develop new product features and new applications within an Agile environment.

+ Establish, refine and integrate development and test environment tools and software as needed

+ Write well-designed, testable, efficient code using the latest development best practices.

+ Stay up-to-date with blockchain technologies

Minimum Qualifications:

+ 3 years of professional working experience in one or more of the following: Java, Python, JavaScript

+ Bachelors Degree - STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics)

+ Ability to travel 20%

+ 1-2 years of software design and development experience in one or more of the following areas:

+ JVM or Node.js frameworks for service integration and application programming interface (API) development

+ Data design and database configuration

+ Continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD)

+ Functional and unit testing automation

+ Infrastructure provisioning and configuration

Preferred Qualifications:

+ 6+ months of hands-on experience with one or more blockchain platforms: R3 Corda, Digital Asset, Hyperledger Fabric, Hyperledger Sawtooth, Quorum / enterprise Ethereum:

+ Configuring nodes in a distributed network

+ Developing and testing smart contracts

+ Key management

+ Project experience through all phases of a typical software development lifecycle (SDLC), preferably with agile methods like Scrum, Kanban, SAFe.

+ Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure; namely choosing platform components and assembling application and runtime architecture

+ Understanding asynchronous/event-oriented architectures, preferably with hands-on experience on any of the following: Kafka, Kinesis, Event Hub, Spark

+ Hands-on experience with modern DevOps tools and workflows such as: Atlassian suite, GitHub, VSTS, Jenkins, Octopus deploy

+ Understanding of technical architecture concepts and methods, preferably with project experience in a technical architect capacity

+ Ability to formulate and articulate new points of view on emerging technologies, as demonstrated by internal or external thought leadership contributions (e.g. videos, whitepapers, conference presentations)

+ Open source community participation and contributions

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
