The Government Relations Sr. Manager requires strong leadership, political and organizational skills and the ability to successfully execute on policy, political and business objectives in support of our portfolio of national security and federal civilian clients.







The role supports development and execution of government relations strategies. Specifically, the Sr. Manager will, 1) Manage lobbying campaigns to advance the company's interest and manage risks, 2) Develop innovative plans to raise the profile of the Company and its executives with policymakers and clients, and 3) Analyze legislation and regulations impacting the company's clients that could shape or impact business opportunities.







Key Responsibilities:






This person will support development and implementation of effective legislative, regulatory, and political strategies on key issues impacting the corporation and our defense and intelligence practices, including logistics modernization, procurement and using information and technology to improve the warfighter's mission. In addition, the person will understand the impact cybersecurity policy developments will have on the company and its public and commercial clients.







Other responsibilities include:





+ Anticipate obstacles and develop innovative solutions to support business, public relations and government relations strategies.


+ Manage relationships with senior corporate executives, government officials, Members of Congress, congressional staff, Administration officials and industry coalitions. Work with relevant technology and business trade associations to lobby and promote company interests with policymakers and business leaders.


+ Lead development and execution of plans for senior executive interactions with Congressional Officials and Senior government officials.


+ Analyze, anticipate, understand and proactively react to political and policy developments.


+ Support existing Accenture Safety & Citizen Services programs and identify new opportunities driven by legislation and Administration action.


+ Work with both Safety & Citizen Services business and OGR leadership to develop strategic plans in support of business and corporate objectives.

+ Industry lobbyists


+ Think tanks and academic leaders













Basic Qualifications:





+ Bachelors degree


+ Minimum of 7 years of experience in government relations and/or legislative policy experience




Additional preferred skills and qualifications:

+ Strong understanding of the political, legislative and regulatory process

+ Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple complex projects

+ Extensive network of government, political and industry contacts

+ Deep knowledge of legislative process and procedure, specifically on appropriations and authorization

+ Strong written and verbal communications skills including public speaking experience

+ Ability to leverage teams and assets to drive a positive result

+ Keen understanding of the information technology and national security and federal civilian industries

+ Ability to deliver results on time and within budget

+ Proven effective research skills











An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
