Defense Point Security, an Accenture Federal Services company, is looking for Information Systems Security Officers and Security Assessors in the DC Metro Area.





ISSO Job Responsibilities:


Deliver
high-quality client solutions to support the design, development,
implementation, testing and continual monitoring Federal Government Clients
systems security controls.


Review
Information Systems (IS) in order to identify potential security weaknesses,
recommend improvements to mitigate vulnerabilities, implement security controls
and document changes.


Deliver
Risk Assessments (RAs), System Test and Evaluation (ST&E) Plans, Security
Assessment Reports (SARs), and Authority To Operate (ATO) Letters.


Perform
the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) lifecycle for all systems, including
systems hosted applications at third-party locations and cloud services.


Perform
POA&M tracking and reporting.


Perform
inventory and FIPS 199 Standards for Security Categorization of Federal
Information and IS, classification of IS.


Coordinate
with POCs on aspects of physical and environmental protection, personnel
security, incident handling, and security training and awareness.


Provide
RA support of applications.


Develop
guidelines and procedures for conducting certifications and/or system level
evaluations of federal IS and networks.


Ensure
that IT systems have all cyber security controls in place and that the all
controls function properly in accordance with the latest NIST standards.


Review
system cyber security plans, cyber security assessment reports and POA&M of
cloud service providers.


Advise
the Government on new standards and make recommendations on new Cyber Security
technologies to improve efficiencies.


Work
with auditors to identify Key Controls which must be assessed on a recurring
annual basis.


Gather
information necessary to maintain a systems security posture and help
establish functioning external/internal barriers such as controlled interfaces
and other security measures.


Define,
create and maintain the security documentation for A&A of each IS in
accordance with government requirements.


Perform
research and assess the impacts on system modifications, technological
advances, and malicious code.


Review
systems security documentation in order to identify potential security
weaknesses, recommend improvements to amend vulnerabilities, implement changes
and document security relevant changes.


Inform
users about security measures, track A&A expirations, explain potential
threats, perform software scans on networks and computers for vulnerabilities,
review audit data for intrusions in order to protect information and prevent
unauthorized access.


Participate and respond to computer security breaches and
malicious code
