The Jr. IT Cyber Security Engineer will make AFS more secure by protecting system boundaries, keeping computer systems and network devices hardened against attacks and securing highly sensitive data. Key responsibilities are, but are not limited to:




+ Engineering, implementation and monitoring of security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information


+ Identifying and defining system security requirements


+ Designing system security architecture and develop detailed security designs


+ Preparation and documentation of standard operating procedures and protocols


+ Configuration and troubleshooting of security infrastructure devices


+ Development of technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks


+ Ensuring that the company knows as much as possible, as quickly as possible about security incidents


+ Production of comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement







Basic Qualifications:



+ 2 plus years of IT work experience


+ Experience of working with others in a team environment


+ Ability to lead and mentor others within the team


+ Experience and knowledge of delivery management, release management, change management principles, methodologies and tools.


+ Good knowledge of MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel


+ Familiarity with Agile Delivery Methodologies


+ Experience with Microsoft Mobility & Security Capabilities Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Advanced Threat Analytics, Azure Information Protection, and Microsoft Cloud App Security)



Preferred Qualifications:



+ Experience with Security projects/products including IDS, SEIM, Conditional Access, Data Classification and Cloud risk assessments.


+ Ability to adhere to defined objectives, activities in a timely way, and monitor self-performance against given deadlines and milestones.


+ Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills


+ Ability to develop strong professional relationships with fellow team members


+ Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills


+ Problem solving and root cause identification skills


+ Familiarity with Federal NIST standards and Guidelines i.e.. NIST 800-171


+ Previous work on US Federal engagements






An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
