We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Architect ready to advance their career in the latest go-to-market strategies, product and service development lifecycle processes, emerging technologies, cloud managed services frameworks. The successful candidate will provide support across all of the Portfolios Cloud engagements.

The Cloud Architect Lead has the overall responsibility and accountability for the existing and future architecture, evolving and infusing innovative technologies into the framework across multiple deployment and service models, over the life of our Cloud Management Platform & Services (CMPS) strategy.

As the CMPS Cloud Architect Lead, you will support account teams in the pursuit of opportunity growth, perform and support solution architect responsibilities for custom complex CMPS engagements and be responsible for managing ongoing enhancements and new development, providing technical architecture support for platform upgrades, remediations requiring new solutions and the research and development of new CMPS and tenant service offering across the portfolios. You will collaborate closely with CMPS Business Engineers, Solution Architects, Cloud and Security Engineers, Developers and PMO teams on a regular basis.

Additionally, the CMPS Cloud Architect Lead will be joining a highly integrated team of self-motivators to achieve the common goal of building an extremely successful and results-driven Cloud Service Delivery practice. Its important the candidate shares the mission and purpose to deliver the highest client satisfaction in every facet of the job.

Key Responsibilities include:

Provides Cloud solutions including strategy, architecture, design, and implementation for the IaaS, PaaS and SaaS environments in AWS, Azure and/or Google cloud environments.

Develops or modifies solutions involving hybrid cloud, multi-cloud and virtualized environments in alignment with the customer requirements.

Leads architecture teams to provide cloud migration strategy and implementation methodology to ensure high performance, scalability, availability, and security of cloud environments. Provides COOP/DR strategy for cloud environments.

+ Provides solution architecture to sales and proposal teams for major bids.

+ Provides cloud solutions with cloud-native technologies, Microservices architectures and DevSecOps methodologies.

+ Provides assistance to customers in ROI and TCO analysis provides cost models and suitable architecture to optimize costs.

+ Helps maintain project schedules and ensures that deliverables are completed in timely manner. Ensures resources are assigned to support task and tasks are completed on time.

+ Ensures problem resolution and customer satisfaction for all tasks pertinent to architecture, design, and implementation. Instructs, directs and oversees the work of other personnel.

This role is opened to both San Antonio, TX and Washington, DC/Virginia area.

Basic Skills & Qualifications

+ STEM Bachelors Degree or 10 Years of Relevant Work Experience

+ 10+ years of IT Experience in large scale system architecture, design, and integration with a focus on infrastructure, storage, networking, and virtualization

+ 5+ years of experience in Cloud architecture, design, implementation, operations and automation

+ 5+ years of experience with service delivery and operations in public, private and/or community cloud deployment models and platform cloud service models

+ 5+ years of experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) or Microsoft Azure

+ 3+ years of experience with Security Assessment & Authorization frameworks (such as Risk Management Framework (RMF), FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, DOD IL4, IL5 and/or IL6 security controls, CSA) and other federal security standards and guidelines

+ 3+ years of experience in developing basis of estimates for both implementation and sustainment scopes

+ 1 Relevant Certification in Cloud Architecture (i.e AWS Solution Architect; AWS Solution Architect Associate; Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect; Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) Service Infrastructure)

+ ITILv3 Certification

+ Project Management Professional (PMP)

+ Certified ScrumMaster

+ Relevant Security Certification

+ 5 Years of Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

+ Client Relationship Management skills

+ Proposal Development skills

+ Internal stakeholder engagement experience

+ Exceptional communication skills verbal, written and presentation skills

+ Knowledge and understanding of Operational Excellence Leadership

+ Service Quality Management Skills

+ Bachelor's Degree

+ Ability to multi task across multiple contacts adding value to the business

+ Ability to work effectively cross organizationally and cross culturally

+ Ability to anticipate and react to frequently changing business climate, delivering results to continual deadline

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
