An innovator and problem-solver. Youre an expert when it comes to protecting on-prem and cloud-based systems. And you can configure and deploy any security tool that comes across your desk. While staying on your toes, you design customized and cutting-edge solutions. You know security solutioning requires knowledge of infrastructure, trusted applications, continuous monitoring proper implementation of security appliances and virtual machines. You understand who or what is connecting to the network and how to properly implement security frameworks such as Access Control and Zero Trust.

The Work:

As part of the AFS Cyber R&D Team the Network Solutions Engineer will be responsible for:

+ Work with client technical and executive audiences as a trusted advisor for solutions covering enterprise security architecture, next-gen firewall, next-gen endpoint, cloud security, identity, and security/network orchestration and automation.

+ Design and evaluate solutions across the Security & Network domain against client requirements including performance, availability, integrity, and total cost of ownership.

+ Provide engineering expertise for RFI and RFP responses.

+ Present solutions to and host learning sessions with audiences of varying size.

+ Ensure proposed solutions, when implemented, meet client needs and functional requirements.

+ Work with solution architects through solution validation, proposal generation, and quoting while developing client account strategies.

+ Research new technology reflect on market direction and develop new services and solution offerings.

Heres what you need:

+ 4 years of hands-on engineering experience with at least two of the following network security platforms: Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Fortinet, Check Point, HPE-Aruba, Juniper, F5, Forescout, and Arista.

+ Hands on Cloud engineering experience with AWS and/or AZURE

Bonus points if you have:

+ Experienced in the acquisition, design, sizing, deployment, installation, maintenance, operating and usage of the Government Enterprise networks

+ Familiarity with the NIST 800, FedRAMP, Risk Management Framework, Security Controls, and the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) operating standards and applicable guidelines

+ You have one or more of the following certifications:

+ Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)

+ Networking (Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper)

+ Security Tools (Splunk, Carbon Black, Cylance, McAfee, Tenable, FireEye, CrowdStrike, ELK, Forescout)

+ Identity & Access Management (SailPoint, CyberArk, Okta, ForgeRock)

Important Information:

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
