The Proposal Volume Lead serves as lead owner and responsible for the written response of a single document or proposal volume. You will collaborate with authors and solution architects to develop a compelling storyline that articulates Accentures strengths, differentiation and value proposition in context of customer insight. You will facilitate development of compliant proposal sections and, when needed, own creation of a specific content area. You will demonstrate the ability to support the Proposal Manager in managing and maintaining proposal development schedule, proposal design and execute quality control functions, including work plans, schedules and milestones.

Other responsibilities include:

+ Lead the development of compelling, winning, strengths-based proposal volumes

+ Ensure content from subject matter experts creates a compelling story and meets all request for proposal (RFP) requirements

+ Conduct frequent (often daily) story conferences with authors and SMEs on the proposal content to mature strengths, win themes deafferentation and a detailed explanation i.e. what is our solution and how it will be implemented

+ Create and maintain the Strengths matrix for the respective volume(s)

+ Challenge authors and SMEs to think creatively about how best to convey our value proposition beyond the traditional text and graphics format

+ Lead effort in developing key messaging on Why Accenture that connects with the customer to drive emotion and articulates Accentures commitment. To help bring the proposal to life the use of tools may include NextGenComms, FORM, and Digital Studio

+ Confirm win themes, strengths and discriminators are clearly documented and communicated in the response

+ Facilitate development of compliant proposal sections across all volume authors

+ Lead and direct all efforts required to produce the volume as dictated by the RFP and its respective volume requirements

+ Continually ready, review, and edit volume sections for compliance in accordance with Section L, M, C and other RFP criteria

+ Maintain compliance with requirements, internal Accenture controls, external regulations (e.g., procurement process), and sales methodology

+ Follow Proposal Manager direction to create high-quality proposals by analyzing RFP requirements, customizing templates accordingly, and interfacing efficiently with sales and solutions team under standard guidelines

+ Provide direction and guidance in solutioning meetings to help ensure the solution meets the RFP requirements

+ Lead integration of content from proposal resources; manage and maintain a central document repository to ensure quality control for the nal volume master copy

+ Use VisibleThread on response volumes to determine volume readability and to create acronym lists

+ Assist and train authors in developing proposal content and graphics

+ Keep open communication with authors to discuss section status and determine the tasks and actions needed to meet proposal milestones

+ Request and manage proposal content research requests

+ Collaborate with proposal team members to achieve consistency across all proposal volumes and sections

+ Manage all aspects of proposal development

+ Support day-to-day proposal management activities for the respective volume(s) in coordination with the Proposal Manager that ensures adherence to work plans, schedules, and milestones

+ Assist Proposal Manager in development of annotated outlines for respective volumes

+ Prepare and ensure volume responses meet color team expectations at milestone deadlines

+ Support resources, coordinate action items from internal reviews, and interact with proposal teams to complete work products to ensure timely completion of activities, and perform quality assurance check

+ Coordinate with Graphic Artists to confirm graphic version control

+ Assist Proposal Manager to determine production schedule, prepare production-ready files and arrange and oversee proposal production (includes electronic and/or physical copies) in accordance with RFP instructions

+ Maintain author folders on proposal SharePoint site

+ Track and report volume status to the Proposal Manager daily. Escalate concerns and/or issues to Proposal Management Team

+ Ensure proper page limitations, styles, and other requirements are enforced

+ Support Proposal Manager in facilitating volume color team reviews and debriefs

+ Prepare and maintain proposal space for and participate in wall walks

+ PRC Team: Proactively seeks opportunities within the PRC team to lead/contribute to operational initiatives and increase knowledge across PRC functions

+ PRC Team: Actively contributes and communicates using Teams and other collaboration tools to foster cohesive working relationships and expand knowledge across the PRC functions

Basic Qualifications:

+ U.S.Citizenship required

+ Bachelor's degree

+ 3 years experience in federal government proposal development and management

+ 5 years experience leading volumes or writing for multi-million dollar opportunities

+ Solid knowledge of developing proposals in response to Federal Request for Proposals (RFP's)

+ Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Share Point, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Must be able to understand technical concepts and convey in verbal and written form

+ Self-starter that can work independently and exercise judgment on a regular basis with minimal oversight along with a can do attitude with willingness to take a hands on approach

+ Superior oral and written communication skills; excellent grammar, writing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail

+ Solid organization skills, detail orientation, and ability to prioritize; Ability to deliver client-ready materials under strict deadline

+ APMP or Shipley Certification

+ Strong record of supporting large/winning proposals

+ Technical background

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
