You are an energetic Ops Engineer/Manager with a passion for IT and positive can-do mindset. You are a team player working as a core member of a multidisciplinary and cross-functional squad whom primary driver is the customer perspective. Close collaboration within and across the squads and with the consumer is of utmost importance for you.


You have a broad and diverse set of competencies that allow you to bring into production and under management, operate, solve incidents and even decommission the applications and/or infrastructure services of your squad, and that allow you to automate as much of the operating and maintenance work as possible.


As an Service Management Lead, you contribute to accomplishing the team's mission.



+ You do this by working the Agile method end-to-end.


+ You continuously strive to improve yourself and your colleagues.


+ Working closely with engineering and other operations teams to incorporate customer feedback into products and services, and address key IT support and usability concerns for corporate employees


+ Maintaining very high customer satisfaction and a consistently great work experience for all Amazonians


+ Defining and analyzing metrics to drive standards and influence team behavior; holding team accountable for the achievement of goals


+ Working effectively in a fast-paced, global, cross-functional environment.





Basic Skills & Qualifications:



+ A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience


+ 5 years experience with Service Management transitions. Ensure service management activities are not disrupted during migration from legacy to future cloud environment


+ IT infrastructure operations, IT service management or IT business operations experience


+ Understanding of networking, telephony, PCs, Macs and Linux; ITIL Certification


Preferred Skills & Qualifications:


+ Experience working with DOD and other federal agencies and clients


+ Understanding of Professional Services or System Integration organizations


+ 4 years of experience managing managers


+ Masters Degree in a technical or other relevant discipline


+ Experience in lean, six-sigma, process improvement


+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills



An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
