Job Description:

One of the primary responsibilities in this role would be working closely with other consultants on the team as well as directly with the client to understand their main points and work with them to define functional and technical requirements to address these issues. The consultant would be responsible for translating these requirements into a technical blueprint for preliminary solution design.

This role requires deep technical expertise, either in SQL / PL/SQL development or advanced modeling and analytics (Python, SAS, R). Further, a candidate in this role should be comfortable querying data from multiple sources (Oracle, SAP HANA), cleaning that data and using it to drive predictive models. Additionally, this role requires the ability to own a workstream and drive development of a product model to completion. A key skill in this role is the ability to sift through and distill vague requirements and act on those, delivering quality work that shows thoughtfulness in addressing the original problem. The resource must be familiar with the Agile delivery methodology and its basic concepts. Familiarity with supply chain basic and lean methodology is a plus.

The resource selected must have excellent organizational skills, be able to multi-task, possess strong problem-solving skills, learn analytic methods rapidly, be able to work and lead a team, and be an independent thinker.

The role requires travel to the client site in Richmond 2 weeks each month.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's of Science Degree in a technical field (Engineering, Math, Statistics, Supply Chain, Economics)

+ Minimum 2 years of technical programming, modeling or development experience using one or more of the following languages: SQL, PL/SQL, Python, R, SAS

+ Minimum 2 years of professional work experience or work in a Master's program

Preferred skills and Qualifications:

+ Experience with Supply Chain Management

+ Experience with programming languages and/or analytics software (SAS, Python, R, SQL, PL/SQL, MATLAB, VBA)

+ Strong Communication Skills (written and oral)

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
