Federal - Systems Engineer

We are seeking a well-rounded Windows and VMware engineer to support an on-premise virtual environment and cloud-based systems. You will be a member of a team of multiple engineers managing, maintaining, and securing vSphere resources, Windows Active Directory, and Windows Servers. Services range from core services (Active Directory, VMWare, networks) to video editing, AWS, and Azure instance management. The ideal candidate needs to balance the agility of introducing new innovative services while maintaining the infrastructure to ensure the accreditation of the networks. The candidate will be responsible for supporting custom solutions throughout the IT project life-cycle, including refining requirements, creating design documentation, creating instructions and deployment plans, and providing O&M support. Project assignments will vary based on skill level and may include engineering geographically dispersed services, integrating services into public, private and hybrid cloud environments, engineering solutions to be deployed via automated CM tools, and hardening the solutions to address security and SCAP compliance. Experience with Cloud and Scripting is a plus. Should have a desire to learn something new every day and share it with others so the whole team can grow.




Here's what you need:

+ BS/MS degree in Computer Engineering or 3+ years of related experience

+ 4+ years experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft based environments

+ 4+ years experience designing and implementing group policy objects to secure servers and desktops

+ 4+ years experience writing or developing deployment scripts to automate installation and configuration of windows software






Bonus points if you have:

+ Masters Degree in Technology or Cybersecurity

+ Advanced Windows Administration or Engineer Certificates

+ Advanced Cyber Security certificates

Role Location: Range of Starting Pay for role


California: $105,200 - $198,800


Colorado: $105,200 - $171,700


New York City: $121,700 - $198,800


Washington: $112,100 - $182,800
