You are:
A sharp thinker. Sure, youre an expert with spreadsheets and calculators. But its your mind that leads the way and not the other way around. You are keen to make things work at their highest level of performance. So you tweak, you experiment and you keep looking for ways to make things as sharp as they can be.

The work:
Evaluate a Finance departments operations to identify areas for improvement and analyze data to solve complex business problems
Closely follow the strategic direction set by Accenture senior managers to reach your near-term goals
Explain the benefits of new Finance solutions and approaches to senior-level executives (chief officers and vice presidents) at the client and within Accenture
Make your own decisions with limited guidance from your Accenture senior manager
Work independently to decide which methods and procedures to use for successful completion of your assignments
Manage the various Finance and technical skillsets of a medium-to-large sized team working from different offices, in different parts of the world
Help the client use Finance shared services, centers of excellence and outsourcing to reach their goals
Look at the clients current state of operations, make recommendations, build a business case for change and map out a plan to reach a future, improved state of operations
Lead workshops with senior-level clients to talk over the numerous options for their future operating model and the plan to get there
Explain the need for change by writing business cases and tracking the value from recommendations put into place
Encourage creative and fresh, new thinking from team members while helping them to bring their ideas to life
Manage all aspects of a project including:
Any risks associated with the project
The costs of the project (budgeting, paying bills)
Write a project outline of what will be delivered and by when
Make sure the clients senior management fully approves all proposed solutions
Build and maintain relationships with senior-level clients, working as a trusted advisor on their business needs and issues
Organize and lead teams that help pursue new business by writing business proposals
Identify and support efforts to develop new business; participate in and lead all aspects of writing the proposal
Write your own articles and reports about current and emerging trends
Be ready to rack up those air miles with weekly travel to client sites

Heres what you need:
At least 8 years of experience managing Finance (operating models and processes)
At least 6 years of consulting experience
At least 6 years of people management experience, including:
Leading a project with at least 3 team members
Helping employees with career development
Bachelors degree in any major

Bonus points if you:
Have an MBA degree
Are a Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant
Successfully sold and delivered projects in the Financial Services industry
Know that the Financial Services industry has unique regulations and governance
Clearly and confidently share your thoughts in written reports and in-person presentations
Talk easily with senior-level clients to explain the potential benefits of a project
Manage consulting projects that have a lot of moving parts and different subject matter experts involved
Oversee full range of a project including:
Defining the scope of the project
Setting the projects timelines and milestones
Making sure the team is driving toward delivering the project
Identifying any risks associated with the project
Managing any issues that pop up
Understand client needs, can propose solutions and deliver high-impact change
Have successfully led and managed a team
