The work:


A critical part of our Accounting and Finance organization is the Corporate Development & Transaction Services (CDTS) team, which consists of more than 500 Accounting and Finance professionals worldwide and reports directly to the Accenture CFO. The CDTS team works closely with our sales, solutions and legal teams to help shape complex consulting and outsourcing deals. The team also works on developing go-to-market business cases with Accenture ecosystem alliance partners. Typical deal structures incorporate innovative financial solutions and sophisticated pricing and risk management concepts to address client business needs. CDTS professionals act as independent business advisors to the sales team as these deal structures are being developed and are accountable for the financial quality of bids.





The Corporate Development & Transaction Services Summer Analyst will be part of a structured rotational program which will provide them the opportunity to rotate through multiple industries, offerings, and transaction types and experience all the different facets of CDTS. During the 12-week internship, the CDTS intern will take on the roles and responsibilities of an entry-level analyst, including the following:







+ Participate in transaction reviews in advance of signature with Managing Directors of the firm




+ Leveraging client cost data to develop cost baselines and client business cases




+ Assist sales teams in targeting prospective clients, leveraging capital IQ and other publicly available information




+ Support client business case development to help clients quantify and understand the value Accenture creates




+ Identify and quantify costs to perform the cost buildup for an individual opportunity




+ Work with Senior CDTS leadership to support complex pricing models




+ Create sensitivity analysis based on cost saving opportunities or other levers within the deal




+ Ensure revenue recognition is US GAAP compliant and Accenture Policies are reflected accurately within the financial models




+ Record, acquire, and maintain all documents supporting the costing and pricing on all new opportunities, including assumptions and version control documentation




+ Participate in a week long case study on Accentures mergers & acquisitions strategy and execution












+ Attend a three-day Student Leadership Conference with over 200 other interns from across Accentures various roles and offerings











Here's what you need:



+ undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance OR Other Business Related major with a minimum of 6 credit hours of Accounting, with a graduation date between December 2020 and May 2021


+ Minimum overall GPA of 3.0

+ Have spent time learning and practicing financial accounting such as:



+ Reconciliation


+ Invoice Preparation


+ Processing financial transactions


+ Preparing financial budgets



+ Are a PC user and know the Microsoft Office Suite


+ Can work on more than one project at a time


+ Like to work both independently and as part of a team


+ Feel comfortable talking with senior managers


+ Have a phenomenal attention to detail


+ Can work creatively and analytically to solve problems


+ Easily share your ideas in person and in writing


+ Give others the information and assistance they need with a positive 'can-do' customer service attitude


+ Have led a team at school, at work or in the military
