The work:







As a research analyst, you will carry out primary and secondary research activities in support of the core research programs of Accenture Research. Research consists of a mix of global, regional and local projects, both for internal Accenture objectives and directly for Accenture consulting teams and their clients. Projects may include economic, industry or competitor analysis, provocative thought leadership presenting new ideas on strategy, technology and innovation, research for client workshops, and reports for high visibility events such as the World Economic Forum. We expect individuals to draw out the implications of the research they conduct and tell a compelling, business-focused story about the data that is relevant to Accentures business and clients. Key Responsibilities:





As an analyst at Accenture Research your daily responsibilities will vary by project, but in working with senior researchers you may find yourself:



+ Collaborating with them at all stages of a project.


+ Conducting literature reviews and synthesizing secondary research


+ Assembling secondary data from multiple sources and conducting high-quality analysis.


+ Developing, populating, and analyzing statistical databases.


+ Assisting with interview and survey processes, including analyzing and summarizing survey data and interviews, tracking study participants, and developing questionnaires and discussion guides, delivering research findings, ensuring accuracy, and adding written interpretation and storylines.


+ Presenting to research colleagues and key internal customers.


+ Creating high-quality presentations and briefing material for speeches by Accenture leadership.


+ Helping frame, draft and proofread case studies, thought pieces, research reports and articles for internal and external publication.


+ Co-ordinating activities related to the execution of research, including with research vendors.

Here's what you need:



+ undergraduate or graduate degree in a relevant subject area with an expected graduation date between December 2020 and August 2021.


+ Minimum overall GPA of 3.3


+ Relevant subject areas include: social sciences, business, quantitative analysis, and economic, science or intellectual history.


+ Knowledge of Python and data analytics



Bonus points if you:

+ Research internship experience desirable

+ Experience in natural
language processing

+ Knowledge of cloud
platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)

+ Knowledge of Flask or
JavaScript

+ Strong knowledge of and interest in global business issues and trends

+ Fascination with how new technologies can solve problems and create opportunities

+ Personal drive, curiosity, and an eagerness to learn new skills

+ Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, problem solving and research skills

+ Proficiency in basic techniques of data analysis

+ Familiarity with basic statistical techniques such as multivariate regression and correlation analysis

+ Writes clearly about complex topics; can synthesize information from multiple sources into a coherent summary

+ Creates well-structured, clearly written presentations with graphs and charts

+ Capable of quickly establishing credibility with senior-level leaders; should be polished, confident and able to clearly articulate a point of view

+ Able to present research insights and findings to customers





+ Are a PC user and know the Microsoft Office Suite


+ Can work on more than one project at a time


+ Like to work both independently and as part of a team


+ Feel comfortable talking with senior managers


+ Have a phenomenal attention to detail


+ Can work creatively and analytically to solve problems


+ Easily share your ideas in person and in writing


+ Give others the information and assistance they need with a positive 'can-do' customer service attitude


+ Have led a team at school, at work or in the military
