People in the Corporate Function career track contribute to the running of Accenture as a high- performance business through specialization within a specific functional area, and grow into internally focused roles by deepening their skills and/or developing new skills within an internal functional area.
Finance professionals prepare and interpret financial plans and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial rules and regulations, including internal financial controls, to mitigate risk for the company. Finance professionals may also shape and execute client deals to maximize the use of Accenture's capital and resources, manage cash and/or liaise with the investor community.
Job Description:
Technical
Have an expert understanding of Accenture's processes, risks, and internal controls. Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in areas of responsibility
Have an expert understanding of Internal Controls over Financial Reporting industry standards.
Recommend and implement improvements to the processes and global standard set of internal controls. React to changes in the process or business to understand impact on risks and controls.
Organizational
Develop annual plan, organize key projects and milestones
Monitor progress towards overall goals and key milestones. Coordinate with Managers/Assoc. Managers as needed to modify plans
Lead special projects as they arise, and lead the assessment of the impact to Accenture processes and risks and develop solutions as necessary
Communication
Cultivate relationships and regularly communicate with internal and external audit.
Proactively discuss risks, issues, and solutions
Communicate scoping, plans, and results with Accenture Leadership. Escalate issues identified to Senior Leadership and develop and communicate solutions
Hold risk assessment calls with key leaders in Accenture's business
Expert written and verbal communication skills to small and large audiences of all career levels internal and external.
People
Develop and maintain team members skills
Develop and lead training to Accenture employees within key process areas
Provide on-the-job training to team members
Develop and communicate expectations for all levels of the team, hold periodic performance evaluations to team members, provide career advancement guidance (as necessary)
Walkthroughs
Organize and lead the walkthrough of end to end processes and related internal controls
Monitor and follow up on status of documentation for narratives, flowcharts, and TOD
Review and approve all walkthrough documentation
Testing
Summarize results of OE testing and communicate to Leadership and KPMG
Analyze trends of findings and assist control owners/Leadership in implementing improvements
Assess individual and aggregated ineffective controls for quantitative and qualitative impact to financial statements


Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
Preferred Skills:
CPA
Auditing experience
Big 4 or internal controls work experience form another company
Professional Skills:
Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
