Job Description:




Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of Microsoft Application Development Manager in Houston, TX to run development, design, support and maintenance of Microsoft software products/systems, and/or customization of software for client use to optimize their business operational efficiency and/or design. S/he will perform the following duties: Implement and deploy Historian systems and MES Applications; ensure defined timelines and met within defined budget, time and quality; review technical architects, development plans, risk registers, design practices to ensure defined processes are followed and implemented; build and leverage reusable components to increase team productivity; ensure organization processes are implemented and compliance is maintained from data security perspective; plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects; lead and guide the work of technical staff; serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects; plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage; and monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.








Basic Qualifications:


The position requires a bachelors degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering (any), or a related field. In lieu of a bachelors degree, the employer deems that the suitable combination of education, training or experience acceptable is 2 years of study toward any U.S. bachelor s degree plus 6 years of experience in the IT field. Additionally, the position requires 5 years of experience in an IT role or IT position. This position also requires experience with the following skills: 5 years of experience overseeing applications/projects, including project financials and project budget; 5 years of experience designing applications by utilizing appropriate design patterns; 5 years of experience using Microsoft technologies like .Net, CRM, SharePoint, AX or surround systems; 5 years of experience working as a developer on historian systems such as OSIsoft PI, Aspentech IP.21 or other historian platforms; and 5 years of experience configuring and deploying MES software applications and systems.
