Marketing and Communications professionals in Accenture are responsible for building a powerful and differentiated global brand at the corporate, industry, capability and geography levels that support the Accenture strategy; enhance long-term client relationships; inspire and engage employees and candidates; and help drive profitable revenue growth.

Job Description
The North American Innovation Marketing Lead will be charged with shaping Accentures overarching innovation narrative in NA to bolster perceptions of the organization and to drive greater awareness of its innovation agenda with key business decision makers at G2000 companies. In this role, the individual will work closely with senior management to understand Accentures innovation architecture and its impact on clients and industries across key markets both today and in the future. In addition to working closely with internal stakeholders, the Innovation Lead will also be responsible for partnering with business and technology communities across North America to better understand opportunities for Accenture to drive thought leadership of its cutting-edge work. Additionally, the Innovation Lead will partner closely with Accentures seven innovation hubs throughout North America (San Francisco, Boston, Detroit, Atlanta, Columbus, Houston and Toronto) to develop a central bank of assets and to share best practices across hubs.

Key responsibilities and deliverables will include:

Thought Leadership
The individual in this role will be charged with developing a comprehensive understanding of Accentures innovation agenda and translating it in a way that drives greater relevance for key markets and industries. In doing so, the Innovation Lead will be responsible for not only disseminating the information to the North American M&C team but they will also be tasked with identifying opportunities to drive thought leadership with the most influential business and technology communities throughout the US.
Campaign Development
In addition to developing, managing and providing frequent updates to a central North American innovation hub landing page, the Innovation Lead will work with markets to ensure they are providing frequent updates to their respective sites including local case studies and best practices. Additionally, the individual will be tasked with developing an annual integrated marketing campaign (digital banners, paid and organic social, media) to further drive Accentures innovation agenda by demonstrating the organizations competitive points of difference both in capability and in execution/way of working. This individual will also share key learnings with the global advertising team to ensure that all work streams reflect a North American point of view and lessons learned.

Research Champion

In order to drive a position of innovation, the NA Innovation Lead will be responsible for teaming with Accenture research to support the North American innovation agenda. This includes tailoring global research to ensure local relevance while also leading customized research projects that can be used to further strengthen awareness and leadership amongst the seven innovation hubs in the US and Canada.

Case Study Development

With a growing need to demonstrate how Accenture is engaging its clients to work differently to co-create business solutions, the individual in this role will be in charge of developing an ongoing catalogue of case studies that demonstrate both capabilities as well as the organizations unique process (FORM) to develop innovative solutions. Partnering with client account leads to craft the stories, the Innovation Lead will be responsible for ensuring a range of clients and industries across key markets are represented.

Innovation Hub Support

Although each innovation hub will be staffed with a hub lead, the North American Innovation Lead will partner closely with each market to share best practices and to develop bank of assets (videos, collateral, presentation templates) to ensure consistency in the way Accenture promotes its innovation hubs. In doing so, this individual will need to work with regulatory and legal to ensure all materials are compliant.

Demo Curation

With a wide range of demos available throughout Accentures network globally, the North American Innovation Lead will be charged with curating a short list of demos that best meet the needs of the North American business. To do this, they will need to partner with the innovation hub leads throughout NA to better understand their respective industry and client needs. They will also identify a process whereby individual teams can setup, learn and present demos for their orals, RFPs or client presentations.

Competitive Intelligence
With the competitive environment changing on a daily basis, the Innovation Lead will be responsible for monitoring competitors innovation offerings and providing frequent updates to North American leadership. In doing so, this individual will ensure that Accenture is positioning itself in ways that drives greater differentiation amongst its competitive set.

Reports to: Senior Managing Director Marketing & Communications North America
Takes input from: Regional Managing Director and Regional Leadership Councils as well as Innovation Hub Leads across North America
Collaborates with: Other resident Marketing & Communications professionals within the region
External Relationships: Tech organizations, third party vendors, suppliers, agencies and media
