What you'll do
+ Analyze payroll data upon request and harmonize across tax reconciliation and year-end reporting
+ Investigate and analyze employee payroll tax issues to determine the root cause to earmark gaps in already existing solutions and support the development of new measures
+ Coordinate with internal reporting team, business & tax departments to ensure timely compliance of regulatory payroll & census compliance reporting
+ Reconcile tax ledger accounts & submit SAP JE/VIM entries in SAP
+ Monitor & support infrequent failures of tax integrations from Workday to Alight, Equifax, Symmetry CIC+, etc.
+ Partner with payroll tax vendors for timely review & submission of 1000+ Federal, State Local payroll tax filings
+ Manage employee pay impacting activities due to Workday Payroll, Tax & Compliance Releases
+ Support payroll tax audits SOX, PWC, internal audit, government agencies, etc.
+ Respond to payroll and tax inquiries from business, finance tax officers of the company
+ Submit timely the POAs, online access and payroll data required for new tax registrations with Federal, State, SUI and Local agencies
+ Comply with mandatory payroll tax reporting required by Federal & State Government Agencies (W5-EIC & W4-Exempt Fed/State)
+ Handle employee tax set up inquiries & issues in Workday Payroll
+ Work with Client Corporate Secretary to ensure companies have license to do business in new states
+ Review W2 mappings for new pay codes are set up correctly
+ Track tax refunds due from government agencies to AIG
+ Support mandatory year-end tax reporting and reconciliation for US, Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam, Bermuda and International Assignees
Basic Qualifications:
+ Minimum of 1 year experience in multi-state payroll processing
+ Minimum of 1 year experience in payroll tax adjustments and W-2 processing required
Preferred:
+ Knowledge of Workday Payroll/Taxation for US, Canada & Puerto Rico
+ Knowledge of SAP or equivalent Accounting Applications
+ Strong Excel skills required - handle large worksheets, pivot tables, V Look-up, etc.
+ Manage projects and work independently to resolve day-to-day Payroll Tax set-up & accounting issues
+ FPC or CPP required by end of 2nd year of employment
+ Strong integrity, professionalism, communication, and accountability
+ Multitask & perform under high pressure environment
+ Proven experience in HR Shared Services
+ Associate or College degree
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Albany County, NY, California, Colorado, New York City or Washington as set forth below.
