Corporate Functions Marketing + Communications

As part of this team, youll play a key role in helping Accenture execute its strategy. Youll work with a diverse team of innovative marketing experts who focus on the following areas: global brand management and advertising; global events and sponsorships; internal communications; marketing research; media and industry analyst relations; corporate and financial communications; internet marketing; recruitment marketing; client-centric marketing; and industry, service line and geographic marketing campaigns.

YOUR ROLE: Issues Management

Accenture is looking for a dynamic communications pro to help manage and guide the coordination, execution and strategy of comprehensive issues management functions that interact with Accentures various business lines, legal and HR functions, working in close coordination with Accentures media relations team. This position involves a particular focus on managing the Issue Management teams various ongoing global engagements, and providing support as well strategic planning and analysis of issues and conversations relevant to Accentures business and reputation. The role is responsible for successfully managing multiple workflows at once, helping balance the Issue Management teams urgent, day-to-day responsibilities with longer-term complex engagements involving multiple cross-platform and business-line stakeholders.

This individual will work closely with the global Issues Management Lead and also with the Global Strategic Planning Lead. The individual will also have the opportunity to represent Issues Management in coordinating and collaborating with national, industry, business and global media relations colleagues across the company, and will complement the media relations program and other aspects of Accentures business by working closely with the social media monitoring team to keep leadership aware of all current trends. This role reports into the global Issues Management Lead.

While there will never be a typical day at Accenture, heres a look at some of your responsibilities.

+ Take point in assisting the global Issues Management Lead in managing multiple projects and responsibilities, all with varied deadlines.

+ Contribute strategic guidance into the teams deliberations, and help create and edit various work products, including scenario plans, preparation of holding statements, talking points for internal and external stakeholders, and coordinate closely with peers in Accenture business lines, legal, HR, media relations and other corporate function departments.

+ Play a lead role in coordinating Issues Managements engagement in crisis management war room, as well as long-term, proactive brand and reputation protection and promotion efforts.

+ Help manage internal work products and record-keeping.

+ Serve as day-to-day point of contact for Issues Management team on key projects, as identified.

+ Monitor the competitive landscape for media mentions and share of voice on key matters the Issues Management team is tracking and managing.

OUR EXPERIENCE: Basic Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree or other university degree

+ Minimum of 7 years experience in PR/corporate communications, with proven crisis communications experience.

+ Experience at building strong working relationship and providing strategic counsel to senior leadership.

+ Able to leverage social media to augment and amplify Issues Management teams work.
