The Quality Specialist is responsible for coordinating process compliance and providing support to suppliers and internal teams such that process outcomes and product outputs consistently meet specifications, customer expectations, and are achieved under budget.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct product acceptance reviews (advance sample QC), and escalate identified issues following best practices for investigating, remediation, and documentation of non-conforming events
Apply root cause analyses methodologies to properly diagnose process failures and drive continuous improvement based on the outcomes
Support and drive continuous improvement efforts using operational excellence methods and through formal corrective actions
Initiate innovations that will improve process capabilities and efficiencies
Identify and develop critical metrics
Use data analytics and apply graphical methods to report critical metrics
Build strong supplier relationships while holding them accountable
Routinely monitor performance across the organization and intervene when performance indicators do not meet established targets and thresholds
Subject matter expertise in print publication quality management for all relevant products, programs, and services
Hold operational areas accountable through audits and feedback based on breakdowns or gaps found or issues raised by the field / client
Travel to print suppliers for process audits and document findings in a timely manner

Basic Qualifications
Minimum of two years of quality and/or process improvement experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of two years related quality and print publications experience
One- year of experience in the implementation of continuous improvement strategies, performance analyses, process mapping and process improvement tools and techniques
Associates degree or equivalent
2 years of experience with Six Sigma and/or Lean principles- PREFERRED
Experience in all phases of supply chain production operations
ISO 9001 auditor training and/or certification
Excellent oral and written communications skills; speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, writes clearly and informatively, listens and provides clarification
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize
Strong Excel skills
Experience using Windows, Microsoft Office
