Job Description:

Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of Service & Interaction Design Associate Manager in New York, NY to apply conceptual thinking to create digital services across multiple platforms, bringing together user needs, business goals, and technical realities. S/he will perform the following duties: develop UX concepts, including definition of customer needs, task analysis, and creation of personas, storyboards, scenarios, user flows, and use cases; translate concepts into designs to illustrate systems; create tangibility for team and client through storytelling and rapid prototyping methods, including paper sketching and digital prototyping; define User Interface Design through information architecture, wireframes, and user flows and validate it through usability testing; create specifications and style guides to supplement prototypes for implementation partners; work directly with customers to design end-to-end experiences using participatory and iterative design techniques including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of qualitative and quantitative research to develop insights, learn about user behavior, and verify design concepts; communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale; work closely with development teams to ensure design specifications are implemented; and contribute to and collaborate with interdisciplinary team including designers, program management, business and brand strategists, and hardware and software developers. Positions are based in New York but require travel up to 50% of an average work week.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires at least a bachelors degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering (any), or in a closely related field plus 3 years of experience as a Service & Interaction Designer, UX Designer, or in a related IT position including the following experience: 3 years of experience preparing research structure/guidelines, conducting field research (including interviews, user groups, contextual inquiry, diary study, and generative/evaluative research), synthesizing research findings, and writing research reports; 3 years of experience mapping customer experience, designing service concepts, and mapping service blueprints using Excel, Visio, Sketch and Adobe Creative Cloud Applications; 3 years of experience designing UX structure and flows, defining information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, and preparing production-ready documentation for websites and applications using Keynote, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite Applications, and paper prototyping; and 3 years of experience preparing testing structure/guidelines (including concept validation testing, user acceptance testing, UI heuristic analysis and usability testing), conducting testing (utilizing guerilla testing, phone interview, and session recording), analyzing test outcomes, and optimizing design based on test findings.
