The Claims Completion Team Lead will be responsible for a team required to meet service level agreements, supporting a large Group Insurance Business contract. The Team Lead will support in providing subject matter expert experience to ensure the success of their team to provide exemplary customer service when processing Short Term and Long Term (STD & LTD) disability claims in a timely and accurate fashion. The Lead will be able to lead the team with supporting the process, independently assess, analyze, and render the appropriate claims decisions on STD LTD claims as directed by the clients standards.



Key Responsibilities:





+ Able to communicate with a variety of constituents with limited guidance and able to learn and transact using the clients systems



+ Coach and lead the team to communicate clearly and concisely to influence return to work, discuss terms of the certificate, and the basis of payment non-payment



+ Work effectively with the team to accomplish training goals, take actions that respect the needs of others in the organization



+ Accountable for the training of associates on attempts to obtain missing information on Short-Term and Long-Term Disability claims to include outreach to physicians, claimants and employers via email, fax, or phone for missing information



+ Identify gaps in training plans to keep trainees on track and meet all project timelines



+ Support training methods to assess, analyze and render appropriate claims decisions utilizing clients documented process



+ Responsible for service levels for all team members, which can be multiple SLAs or KPIs



+ Ensure team is successful in how to articulate and document their rationale for claim direction, provide exceptional customer service either over the phone or through email



+ Provide leadership updates and progress reports on training curriculum



+ Utilize tools independently and accurately to identify work to be completed



+ Provide the team feedback







Basic Qualifications





+ Minimum 5 years of experience in disability claims processing



+ Minimum 3 years of experience in leading a team of 10 or more resources for an extensive time period



+ Minimum 2 years of experience in a client facing role







+ Minimum 1 year of Strong MS Applications experience (Word, OneNote, Excel, MS Project)



+ Minimum 1 year of reporting experience using Excel including Pivot Tables, Charts & Macros









Preferred Qualifications





+ Bachelors Degree



+ Experience in a BPS environment to include understanding of managing to client SLAs



+ Experience in managing multiple processes
