Responsibilities:

Performant is please to be able to provide Summer Internship opportunities that offer an excellent opportunity for students to learn about the workplace in general while being part of and making valuable contributions to the team.  Internship duration is generally between six and ten weeks, dependent upon the department assignment and intern school schedule and availability.  

As a Summer Intern in the Client Services department, you will have the opportunity to contribute to projects and operations in the department, while gaining valuable experience, knowledge, skills, and insights.  Your responsibilities will be to:

Conduct analysis and reporting that would help drive business decision-making
Perform detailed historical business trend analysis to identify key performance drivers
Build core analytics processes and tools that can be leveraged in trending multiple business lines
Research, gather, and integrate data from multiple internal sources
Other tasks as assigned 

 

 

Required Skills and Knowledge:

Key skills required for the Summer Intern opportunity in the Client Servies department include the following:

-Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
-Good verbal and written communication skills
-Efficiency with MS Office 
-Ability to learning new concepts, tools and processes


Performant all applicants interested in working during the summer must meet established minimum requirements as follows:

  • Be enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited college or university

  • Be enrolled in a technical or academic discipline/major that matches or fills an area of need for Performant

  • Be a family member (child, step-child, etc.) of an active regular Performant employee

  • Meet legal requirements to work in the US and must be at least 18 years of age

  • Successfully complete our pre-employment drug testing program and background check

  • Meet entry level management standards which include qualifying through the management interview process

  • Agree to abide by the Performant practices and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook

  • Complete all required on-boarding requirements prior to starting work

Meeting all of the above requirements does not ensure employment as a summer student hire. It ensures consideration for a challenging work experience for the student who possesses the best possible match based on such items as basic qualifications, skills, and academic discipline.      


Physical Requirements

Job is in a busy standard office environment with moderate noise level, sits at a desk during assigned office hours, uses office phone system; views a computer monitor, types on a keyboard and uses a mouse.

-Sit approximately 85% of the day
-Stand/walk approximately 15% of the day
-Occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 10lb.s
-Consistently viewing a computer screen and keyboard frequently up to 75% of time
-Communicates frequently on the phone with client contacts and internal resources; head-set is also provided

Education and Experience:

-High School diploma 
-Attendance in college or university
