**Job Description:**
We are seeking a TS/SCI cleared, well-rounded Windows and VMware engineer to support on-premises virtual and DoD cloud environments. Be a member of a small team of engineers managing, maintaining, and securing vSphere resources, Windows Active Directory, and Windows Servers on an isolated Research and Development (R&D) network and various cloud environments. These accredited networks are supported at two locations and provide services to a set of highly technical projects tackling some of DoDs hardest data challenges. Services range from Tier 3 core services like Active Directory, VMWare, networking to Tier 1 services like troubleshooting workstations, monitors, and PC network connectivity. The ideal candidate needs to balance the agility of introducing new innovative services while maintaining the infrastructure to ensure the supportability and accreditation of the networks.. Project assignments will vary based on skill level and may include engineering geographically dispersed services, integrating services into public, private and hybrid cloud environments, engineering solutions to be deployed via automated CM tools, and hardening the solutions to address security and SCAP compliance. Experience with scripting is a plus. Should have a desire to learn something new every day, share and educate others for team growth.
**Responsibilities include:**
+ Facilitate system modifications across a variety of projects that include operational technologies and/or solutions to support technical, analytical, or operational requirements.
+ Support strategic activities such as: identifying, analyzing, defining, and coordinating user, customer, and stakeholder needs.
+ Translate user requirements into technical or operational resources for the research, development, production, and procurement of processes, systems, and services.
+ Analyze portfolios of IT systems, tools, applications, and develop enterprise artifacts required for implementation; develop standard processes; manage IT portfolios; develop documentation; develop metrics and provide performance summaries.
+ The engineer will be responsible for supporting custom solutions throughout the IT project life-cycle, including refining requirements, creating design documentation, creating instructions and deployment plans, and providing O&M support.
**Here's what you need:**
+ Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance.
+ BS/MS degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent IT experience.
+ Minimum 1 year experience designing, administering, configuring and securing ESXi, vCenter, and related storage.
+ Minimum 1 year experience designing, administering, configuring, and securing Windows Servers and Workstations, troubleshoot GPOs, Administer DNS, and author PowerShell automation scripts.
+ Minimum 1 year experience with Dell and/or Cisco family of servers
**Bonus points if you have:**
+ Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
+ Basic networking design and troubleshooting experience.
+ Extensive experience with VAST and/or PURE storage hardware.
+ Support storage architecture design, installation, configurations, and upgrades.
+ Experience with Linux administration in CentOS or Ubuntu and bash scripting.
+ Automation experience with leveraging provisioning tools such as Ansible / Ansible Tower, and Rancher.
+ Provide storage infrastructure system management including capacity planning, performance monitoring, tuning, and security management.
+ Cloud design experience in AWS, RHCA, and/or AZURE.
+ DoD 8570.1 Certification (e.g., Security+).

California: $90,700 - $147,100
Colorado: $90,700 - $127,100
