Finance professionals prepare and interpret financial plans and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial rules and regulations, including internal financial controls, to mitigate risk for the company. Finance professionals may also shape and execute client deals to maximize the use of Accenture's capital and resources, manage cash and/or liaise with the investor community.




Job Description




Reporting to the Global Head of Tax Policy (GHTP) and working with Accenture's tax leadership team, the Tax Policy Senior Manager will monitor and analyze tax legislative and regulatory developments in the US, OECD, and Growth Markets. He/she will collaborate with and assist the GHTP and Accenture's Tax team to understand the impact of pending or enacted changes in tax laws and administrative pronouncements. The Tax Policy Senior Manager will be responsible for timely communicating tax developments to the relevant tax teams and internal subject matter experts. The Tax Policy Senior Manager will collaborate with Accentures Government Relations team on tax advocacy efforts. This work will include assisting the GHTP with drafting and revising comment letters in response to proposed legislation, regulations, or administrative actions. A primary focus of the role will be on OECD and US Federal tax developments and advocacy efforts. In addition, the position will encompass selected tax policy work at the state level and internationally (either in respect of multi-jurisdictional or specific country developments).




Responsibilities:

+ Review draft tax legislation and other developments, proactively alert and advise the Accenture Tax team regarding the developments, lead the preparation or editing of comment letters and monitor status.

+ Coordinate with Accenture's Tax team to assess the potential impact of proposed tax law changes or administrative guidance on Accenture.

+ Collaborate with Accentures Government Affairs team on any potential tax advocacy strategies.

+ Assist with preparing briefing materials, talking points, updates, and presentations regarding tax policy developments.






Basic Qualifications:

+ 5-10 years Tax experience






Preferred Qualifications:

+ Tax policy experience serving a major multinational corporation as in-house or outside counsel is preferred

+ Experience serving in a legislative staff role at the Federal or state level is relevant

+ Experience at a law firm, public accounting firm, or large multinational company is preferred

+ BA/BS in Accounting or Finance or a JD or CPA is preferred






Professional Skills:

+ Ability to work with a dynamic group of constituents, including government officials, congressional leaders, executive management, outside counsel, and others

+ Ability to manage several concurrent projects with set timelines in a quickly changing legislative and political environment

+ Superior written and oral communication skills

+ Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian

+ Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian







Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Albany County, NY, California, Colorado, New York City or Washington as set forth below.

New York - Albany $121,400 to $241,900
