We Are

Accenture Technology Innovation seeks a creative, enthusiastic writer to join our Office of Special Projects. The members of our technology innovation organization identify, incubate, prototype, develop and scale the next and the new. They not only anticipate the future of technology, but explain exactly how it will impact businesses, communities and the environment, with a focus on creating lasting value. Working with our special projects team, you will help us bring these stories to life across multiple mediums, highlighting the real-world value of foundational research and the impact that new technologies will have on businesses over the coming years.

You Are

A strong writer with experience covering technology or scientific topics for general and executive audiences. (Journalism, corporate public communications, or institutional advancement work experience could be relevant preparation for this role.) You are comfortable and enjoy interviewing subject matter experts on topics where you have no personal experience or firsthand knowledge. You are able to quickly figure out the must-tell points of a story and develop compelling content, within word time limits and for the relevant audience. You are passionate about new technologies and enjoy learning about new tech and explaining the capabilities and implications to others. You enjoy using your talents to help others communicate their work and expertise to non-expert audiences. You have a healthy appreciation for the editorial process and seek to build on your current content development experience and skills. You enjoy dreaming up new ways of conveying information, whether it's a different style of writing or a different content format. You are organized and aware of dependencies in the content development process, and proactive about managing potential conflicts in order to meet deadlines.

The Work

+ Support in providing thought leadership, applying original research results to strategic business issues. This role delivers content that offers unique and thought-provoking perspectives, relatable to business and technology audiences alike

+ Provide inputs and perspectives about how best to communicate new ideas for the marketplace

+ Develop your own perspectives on current technology trends and business implications

+ Brainstorm and develop ideas for new content in line with both Technology Innovations and Accentures strategic goals

+ Build trusted relationships with subject matter experts throughout Accenture Technology Innovation by consistently communicating their stories in an accurate, compelling way

+ Oversee the content development process, managing relationships with subject matter experts, marketing colleagues, designers, legal reviewers, and external contractors as applicable to guide projects from conception through completion

+ Prior experience collaborating with marketing teams is a plus

For now, all Accenture business travel, international and domestic, is currently restricted to client-essential sales/delivery activity only.

Here's what you need

+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associates Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)

+ Minimum of 2 years of professional writing experience (or relevant graduate work), with clips available for review. (Non-bylined work meets this requirement with verification of authorship.)

Professional Skill Requirements

+ Ability to work creatively and analytically in an environment with team members from diverse professional backgrounds

+ Ability to determine methods and procedures on new assignments with minimal guidance

+ Dedication to continued learning

+ Collaborative nature and interest in working with colleagues of different skill sets to build strong stories

As required by Colorado law under the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $90,288 - $148,900 and information on benefits offered is here.
