You are eager to put your skills to use by helping us help our clients inject security at every level of their organization.



The Work

Our vulnerability management consultants will support clients whose focus is to reduce its cyber vulnerability exposure significantly and swiftly across their enterprise. Our team will have the opportunity to advance the clients Vulnerability Management operations as we develop strategies for avoiding vulnerability exposure, rapidly detecting critical vulnerabilities, and validating remediation in accordance with company policy and emerging threats.




Consultants will also work closely with governance and risk teams to build effective and efficient strategies for vulnerability risk detection and remediation within the enterprise. This will be accomplished by leading work streams on engagements related, but not limited to, infrastructure, application, and cloud security scanning, reviewing and prioritizing results, and remediation and coordinating the remediation of assessment results.




A successful candidate will build working relationships with various key stakeholders including, but not limited to vulnerability management, risk and governance, business unit points of contact, and executive leadership. Candidates should be capable of communicating and presenting effectively with diverse levels of the organizations (e.g. managers, users, and technical teams, etc.).




Required Qualifications

+ Minimum 4 years cyber security experience, particularly focused on Vulnerability Management across servers, endpoints, network infrastructure, cloud workloads, applications, and software code

+ Minimum 4 years experience with vulnerability assessment and reporting including comprehensive understanding of Vulnerability Management methodologies, procedures, enterprise vulnerability scanning solutions (Qualys/Nessus/Rapid7 platforms)

+ Minimum 1 year experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and strategies for securing cloud infrastructure and applications

+ Minimum 1 year experience with application security best practices and how they can integrate into a vulnerability management program

+ Minimum 1 year experience with applying best practice frameworks such as NIST 800 series, ISO 27000 series, ISA, or COBIT to develop security policies, standards, and guidelines.

+ Minimum 3 years experience in developing and implementing IT governance practices and processes

+ Minimum 1 year experience with awareness of security threats and defensive strategies including techniques, tactics, and procedures (TTPs) that threat actors utilize to attack an organization.

+ Bachelors Degree in Cybersecurity or IT-related field, or equivalent work experience.






Preferred Qualifications

+ Minimum 1 year experience within consulting practices (knowledge, etiquette, etc.) leading security related projects and teams with minimal oversight

+ Minimum 1 year experience of networking essentials, data flows and architecture

+ 1 year experience of industrial control systems, compliance standards (e.g., NERC-CIP), and related cyber security standards (e.g. IEC 62443) are strongly preferred.

+ 1 year experience with integrating industry-recognized network defense frameworks (e.g., ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, etc.) into risk assessment and vulnerability management processes.

+ 1 year of experience evangelizing security concepts to a wide audience and influence decision-making processes.

+ 1 year experience with creating policy and standards to secure configurations, management, and maintenance of server, network, and application infrastructure

+ 1 year experience with cyber risk assessment practices, including risk identification, analysis, prioritization, tracking, and design of compensating controls, addressing both programmatic risks (e.g., deviations from policy or standards) and technical risks (e.g., current vulnerabilities or control gaps).

+ Masters Degree in Cybersecurity or IT-related field.

+ 1 of the following Certifications: CISSP, GSEC, GEVA






As required by Colorado law under the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only , the range of starting pay for this role is $90,288 - $167,600 and information on benefits offered is here.
