You are:

A logistics expert with the experience to help companies get the most from their transportation and logistics. You know that in todays economy almost everything gets shipped, from the materials used to make a product through to the product itself. And that companies depend on everything getting where it needs to go. Youve got the data and analysis skills to make that more efficient, so companies can keep their customers satisfied and their bottom line healthy. You also have the communications and personal skills to make sure clients understand your ideas and plans. And your experience means people look to you for guidance and leadership when its time to take plans off the drawing board and put them to work in real life.

The work:

+ Find solutions to clients transportation & logistics problems

+ Persuade senior clients and Accenture managers why alternate approaches may be needed

+ Make sure that projects help clients meet their important goals

+ Use the latest analytical tools to help clients:

+ Improve their transportation and logistics

+ Make their network spend more productive

+ Make sure their assets are best suited to help meet strategic goals

+ Use leading edge analytics to segment and analyze key transportation, logistics, and network spend and asset characteristics

+ Give the client useful insights about how changes to their asset network can help them better meet customer demands and requirements

+ Use what-if analysis and financial pro-forma scenario analysis to upgrade clients networks so they can make better decisions on the fly

+ Use digital tech to help clients find new ways to make their organizations more effective and efficient

+ Lead workshops that look for ways to improve organizations and processes

Racking-up those air miles will have to wait, as weekly non-essential travel to client sites Monday through Thursday is currently suspended. For now, all Accenture business travel, international and domestic, is currently restricted to client-essential sales/delivery activity only.

Heres what you need:

+ At least 2 years experience in transportation and logistics

+ At least 2 years working as a consultant or associate

+ A Bachelors Degree

Bonus points if:

+ Youve got serious data and analytical chops when it comes to improving forecasts and managing inventory

+ You can spot where to find new value in logistics and transportation, and explain it simply

+ You can find and explain ways for clients to add value to their organizations

+ Youve worked on strategic cost takeout projects

+ You know your way around transportation master data, transportation management systems (TMSs), and network optimization principles
