You Are:
An innovation leader comfortable in blending a creative and strategic approach to solving organizations problems; you have proven success in changing cultures, inspiring leaders, and experimenting in organizations. You possess strategic and commercial acumen, are an insight savvy storyteller, and an expansive idea generator. You are problem obsessed, able to with a restless desire to deliver impact for the organizations, clients and the project teams you work with.

The Work:
While role modeling our creative behaviors, values and methodologies, our Lead Inventors strategically lead projects in a new way. Our approach to culture change is experimentation-led, blending a creative doing approach with real commercial grounding. Associate Directors take on a leadership role in the company that allows them to develop a followership and hone the leadership skills and behaviour that are a critical unlock at Director. Our Associate Directors drive client agendas spotting and unlocking opportunities whilst maintaining high strategic output. Associate Directors work to build the team, nurturing talent and spotting opportunities for our people to stretch. All the while they are competent and capable of independently leading our most complex of engagements.

+ Ability to sell as point of view, not just have one

+ Happy, comfortable and successful working in an iterative way, without a heavy reliance on standard process

+ Ability to redirect and course correct a project as needed

+ Generate new ideas, process and structures to help us grow

+ Go beyond smart strategy documents to develop real world solutions positioned for growth

+ Great storyteller collects, creates and shares stories (own and ?!)

+ Razor sharp insight intuition and quick discrimination of insight and ideas

+ Ability to be an intellectual juggler and operate on multiple levels on a project

+ Experienced and confident in designing day plans, setting up and leading workshops, moderating consumers, using stimulus and managing the necessary quantity and quality of ideas

+ Delivers all work (project & BD) with autonomy


+ Motivates and inspires teams bringing out the very best in team members

+ Helps develop the skills of the people around them (on project and beyond)

+ Can make tough calls and have tough conversations with clients and ?!

+ Contributes to initiatives that grow cohorts or larger segments of talent

+ Builds a ?What If! following of people that are inspired to work on their projects

+ Can manage their own energy and others, and brings passion to their work


+ Writes and owns the POV and approach for new business pitches and proposals in partnership with Directors

+ Grows long lasting client relationships, unlocking new opportunities, and ensuring high quality output

+ Owns day to day project needs and client management

+ Supports and shapes new work in partnership with new business team

+ Works with Accenture to pursue and convert follow-on project work


+ Scopes and costs a project accurately

+ Understands and supports revenue management

+ Delivers against their set annual new business targets

+ Ensures the teams are working profitably

Culture within Cultures

+ Builds relationships to unlock new opportunities for ?What If! within Accenture

+ Collaborates with agencies/ teams in the wider Accenture network to build bigger and more connected projects

Heres what you need:

+ Bachelors Degree required

+ Minimum 9 years business experience in strategic growth focused work- including culture change, leadership development, organizational experimentation, capability building and/or innovation experience as well as a track record of demonstrating unlocking human potential.

+ At least 3 years experience building client relationships across all levels, being a trusted advisor and shaping C Suites agenda, to inspire the whole team.

+ At least 2 years proven track record of selling big projects or large-scale programs

Bonus points if:

+ You are an idea generator comfortable working in an iterative way.

+ A natural Leader, you possess the demeanour, business maturity, intellect and integrity required to establish immediate credibility with key stakeholders within the company.

+ You are comfortable leading innovation initiatives, including expertise in design thinking, consumer insight and user experience in both corporate and consulting environments.

+ You are united by our 5 core values - Adventure, Impact, Passion, Love & Audacity and these come across in every project we produce as well as everyone we recruit.
